It's a small, baby step, but it's something. We have sent in our Pre-Application form tp AGCI. This will basically tell us if we even qualify to adopt from Ethiopia. Age, marriage, health,etc...like I said it's nothong major and isn't required, but it's something to hold me over for now :)
Also, yesterday I called our home study agency and asked whether we could start our adoption in June or if we have to wait the full 12 months for the marriage requirement. Once we hear back from them we will be announcing our adoption news to our parents! We first want to be able to know our start date so we can give them a better timeline. Our home study agency requires us to wait 12 months, but our placement agecy is only 9 months...however, they said they are almost certain they can work something out for 9 months!
So, we are somewhat at a stand still for at least a couple months...in the mean time we are doing our research, praying, and basically just living life!
